Alex White
Co-founder, Subcity, Inc.
Alex White is the co-founder and CEO of Subcity. Subcity is on a mission to democratize access to capital for America’s small businesses by digitizing thousands of local, state, and federal economic incentives and helping business owners and their finance teams file and claim the dollars they are owed. Since launching in April of 2022 they have already helped clients across the country claim $10s of millions in economic incentives and tax credits.
Before Subcity, Alex co-founded Next Big Sound in 2008 and was the CEO until the company was acquired by Pandora (NYSE: P) in 2015. Alex spent 5 years at Pandora ultimately running all content and personalization across music, comedy, and podcasts. White and his co-founders were featured in Fast Company (#1 most innovative company in the music industry, 2015), Forbes (30 under 30) in the music category three times, Billboard (10 best music companies), Bloomberg BusinessWeek (25 under 25), Entrepreneur Magazine’s 30 under 30 list and in the New York Times, CNN, Inc. Fox Business, Washington Post, TechCrunch and many other publications.
Alex has a B.S. in Learning and Organizational Change and sits on the board of his college, Northwestern's School of Education and Social Policy.

Carroll Thomas has built a substantial career in both the public and private sectors, accelerating business opportunities for small- and medium-sized manufacturers. Recognized as an expert in small business and manufacturing, Carroll has personally negotiated deals with nearly 24,000 U.S. manufacturers of various sizes across all 50 states, helping 13 of them achieve over a million dollars in sales.
During Carroll's tenure with the U.S. Department of Commerce, she provided oversight and guidance to 51 fiduciary boards responsible for managing over $700 million in federal taxpayer funding over five years, with no loss or misuse of funds. Carroll successfully transformed a network of 1,400 manufacturing experts across the country into a cohesive national network, enabling them to quickly identify and match over 2,858 needed suppliers to produce personal protection equipment during the pandemic.
Carroll is now looking to bring her extensive experience and expertise to a corporate board.
